Phase 1 · California’s primary shellfish waters
Each bay page shows the public monitoring stations feeding into the project, color-coded by what they measure, plus an optional layer for the locations of the bay’s shellfish farms.

Humboldt Bay
California's largest oyster-growing region, a North Coast estuary with the densest network of public monitoring stations in the project.

Tomales Bay
A long, narrow Marin County estuary on the San Andreas fault, fed by Lagunitas Creek, with a tight cluster of shellfish farms and an active harmful-algae watch.

Morro Bay
A compact Central Coast estuary at the southern edge of the project, anchored by NOAA tide and weather stations and a small but productive shellfish-grower community.
Phase 2 · Washington marine regions
In progressThe rollout’s next phase expands to Washington’s inland sea. These pages preview the public data sources we plan to bring in for each region. Build order: Hood Canal, then South Puget Sound, then the San Juan Islands.

Hood Canal
A deep, glacier-carved fjord on the west side of Puget Sound (Marine Area 12), and the Washington rollout's pilot: the best-instrumented waters of the three WA pilot regions, with the full core set of measurements.

South Puget Sound
The maze of shallow inlets south of the Tacoma Narrows (Marine Area 13), home to the largest base of shellfish growers in Washington.

San Juan Islands
An island archipelago in the northern Salish Sea (Marine Area 7), and the most complete mix of monitoring of the three WA pilot regions, from offshore buoys to estuary sensors and plankton sampling.
